Moray West Offshore Wind Farm – Another successful project for CASC!

CASC complete at Moray West Offshore Wind Farm.

We are delighted to be involved in the mobilisation of Moray West offshore windfarm, coming out of the Port of Nigg in Scotland. This vital infrastructure project will be located in the Moray Firth, just off the East coast of Scotland and will play a key role in the aim to provide clean energy to up to 1.33 million UK homes.

Using 60nr of the latest, state of the art Siemens Gamesa SG 14-222 DD offshore wind Turbines, Moray West will generate almost 900MW of renewable energy.

These giant turbines each generate 14.7MW of electricity thanks to their enormous rotor diameter of 222m and direct drive technology.

We were responsible for the quayside mobilisation activities, manufacturing products and parts in Northern Ireland and mobilising on site in Tain. Working alongside our friends in SGRE, BMS heavy lift and Port of Nigg to ensure that the project gets off to a successful start – we wish them all the best with the project and look forward to joining them again later in the year for completion and demob!

In the meantime we turn our focus to our ongoing Renewables projects in Italy, Denmark, France, Taiwan, USA and South Korea. CASC are surging ahead with global green energy.
